Another day...

Tonight my thoughts are on the upcoming holidays.  As I try to stay busy.. it makes time pass by faster.  When stress becomes overbearing I come to the realization that sometimes too busy is not a good thing.  :)  Thinking ahead of the holidays is exciting and heart breaking at the same time.  Who would have ever thought that would be a problem.  I am ever thankful that I get the time to talk on the phone with Mike more often now!  It gets me through each new day.  Just as he tells me hearing my voice in the morning gets him through his.  He is my life, my love, my twin flame!

It's been very busy and eventful past week and weekend.  As I have learned that some doors in my life are closing...I feel deep in my heart and know that more are opening.  I don't know what is in store for the next steps in my life, but I do know that each one is being carefully created with God's hands.

Grandpa Chamberlains 80th birthday celebration was a very joyful day, spent with family that I usually never get to see.  We had a great time and served a ton of food.  :)  Grandpa looked so good!  His personality and actions reflected how I have always remembered him, and how I want to remember him.  It was a very beautiful day.

The kids and I returned home and eventually we will pull together the effort to prepare for the next week.  One day at a time!  It's all that we can do.  I'm on a lazy river of life...going with the flow.

A New Day

Well it has been a while and I want to really try to start my blogging again.

There's been happy times, sad times, good times, and really rough times.  But from here on out life exists...One day at a time!  I want to try and start sharing my experiences just like that.  Not only for my kids, myself, but also the love of my life!  Which I know I WILL be with again, someday soon!

I have learned amazing things, discovered new strengths, and look forward to the start of each new day with appreciation at the end of each day.  My love for life has changed so much in these past few months with all new meaning.  Each day I repeat to myself "Peace, Love, Joy" because without each of those, life really is meaningless.  I love each and everyone of you and look forward to my new path!

12x12 Scrapbook Class February

Here are the pics of the double page layout at my new 12x12 Scrapbook Class.
I used the new With All My Heart Stamp Set, Sending Love Specialty DSP, Sending Love brads in Pretty in Pink and Real Red, and the new Extra Large Fancy Flower Punch. All these products are from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

The Letters are cut from Chipboard and Cardstock from the Serif Essentials and Timeless Type Sizzlets using the Big Shot. Then I ran each of the CS Letters in the new Polka Dot Embossing Folder.

Also on these pages I used the 2 new punches from the Mini Catalog and the
Sale-a-bration Brochure. The new Scallop Trim Corner and Border Punches. These are a little tricky but after a couple tries it becomes a lot simpler.

Check out my website at www.tamimelancon.stampinup.net to see all these fun new products.

If you are interested in joining my 12x12 Scrapbook Class or getting the kit. The class is held the second Wednesday of each month at 10 am.

Well it has been a while hasn't it. I finally get the blog thing figured and then I never update it ;)
Well it has been crazy lately, these are pictures of the 80 punch animals that me and the kids made for treats for the last day of school. We put contact info on the backs of them for the kids in their classes since they are changing tracks this year. They are now on Track 4. Then I made 16 of these baskets for my 3D swap at convention with the GOT INK GIRLZ!!! I will get a post on here of the other things I did as well. These baskets were also for old teachers and the new teachers coming up that the kids have. It has been alot of fun being back in the creating mode again. It's been a while. I just got back from Stampin' Up! Convention a couple of weeks ago! Had so much fun and love what I do!!! Then we just got back from camping. We went up to Mt Charleston. And had alot of R&R so I definately need to get more pics on.

I Love Simply Scrappin Kits

I love using Simply Scrappin kits! They make scrapbooking so easy. Now I just need to go take some pics of my girls and get them on. I love these colors too! It's kind of hard to tell but SISTERS is cut out with chipboard and cardstock from the Big Shot. Then I covered the letters in Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. Another Favorite!

Today is Sahara's 3rd Birthday. Yet another attempt at a fondant cake. I was going for a 2 tier, I think it looks more like a bonnet. lol Anyway she loves it! Then a pic with her bday gift. And then her on the phone with grandma and grandpa wishing her a Happy Birthday! She is so happy and we love her so much. All she wanted was fire on her cake this year.

The first 5 people to leave a comment on this blog will receive something made by me. However there are some limitations:
1. I make no guarantee that you will like what I make.
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It will be done this year.
4. You have not a clue what it is going to be; poetry, shoes, bags or a little invention of my own. I may even bake something and mail it you! Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. It may blow your mind!
Here's the catch... if you choose to do this, you must post this on your blog and be ready to make something for five people too. This will be fun! And, when you receive the fabulous item I make you, you must post a picture of it on your blog. Or if you don't have a blog, send me a photo and I will post it! Ready....Set....Comment!

I don't know if any of you remember a few years ago I made a 3 tier paper cake where it was individual slices embellished with flowers. Each slice opened up to reveal chocolates inside. It was really pretty but a lot of work and time involved. And did I take a picture...of course not. Well I just created another cake for Sahara's birthday and it took no time at all. I love all the ideas I get from Stampin' Up! Tayler and Sahara each had to have their own butterfly as well. We had a lot of fun.

Mike enjoying his day at work!!!

Well Mike decided to have a little fun...Climbing a cell tower 100ft...Not my idea of fun! He actually said he was double dared to do it. I told him he gets to explain to his kids now that you don't do everything someone tells you to do.

Tayler just lost her first tooth!
